2007 Junior Pan American Championships

Quito, Ecuador - August 30th - September 1st

Tyler Wolfe, Captain of Katsu Dojo's tournament team, won a gold medal in sparring in the -45 kg female division at the 2007 Junior Pan American Championships in Quito, Ecuador which was held on August 30th - September 1st.  Tyler defeated Stefani Liendo from Venezuela in the finals, outscoring her 9 - 1.  There were 52 members of the US Junior team at these Championships and Tyler is only one of four US competitors to win a gold medal in sparring.  She is also only one of two US team members that have won a gold in sparring for the second straight year.
