Megan won gold in the 12-13 year old female -35 kg sparring division on August 20th and Tyler won gold in the 18-20 year old female -50 kg sparring division on August 22nd. There were over 80 kids on the US team and only seven won gold medals. Tyler and Megan were two of only three US athletes that won back to back gold medals - winning in 2009 & 2010.

Tyler Wolfe, Ansley Hanger and Natasha Moghadam were selected by the US coaches to represent the USA in the Female Team Sparring Division.  Each country selects four athletes with one as the alternate.  The winner is decided by which country has the most wins.  Tyler and Ansley won their matches in the first round to beat Argentina 2-1.  Tyler and Ansley tied in their matches against Venezuela in the semi-finals, but the other girl selected by the US lost her match which allowed Venezuela to win 0-1. Natasha was the alternate. That gave the US the bronze medal in Female Team Sparring.
